Our friends at Sunquest, nee MISYS, kicked off the holiday season with their annual barbeque.  Staff enjoyed the lunch in exchange for toys, gift cards and monetary contributions.  This year they donated over $2600 to jump start our Christmas giving program.  Thanks Ken and Gang for your continuous efforts and support!

The Sun Riders Motorcycle Club held another successful Toy Parade!  This year's event was the 26th parade benefiting children in Child Protective Services' care.  While the rain threatened the riders it was a dry day.  Bob Parsons from GoDaddy.com was the Grand Marshall and major sponsor.  There were fewer than 1500 riders so the Sun Riders worked extra hard obtaining sponsors and were able to contribute $55,000 to the Abused Children's Fund.  Thank you Sun Riders for your continuous and unwavering hard work for the children.  Your small band of committed riders are the best!!

We would like to thank Natalie McGee from McGee Ranch who worked very hard in the Green Valley area to solicit donations of money and toys for our children.

A special thank you goes to Peggy Tate and all the families and life groups from Pantano Christian Church.  They adopted 34 families supplying them with food, clothes, toys, furniture, house wares and linens.  What a great impact you had on the families that will carry through far longer than just Christmas Day.

Thank you to everyone who made it possible for us to provide stockings, blankets, stuffed animals, toys and gift cards to over 2000 children this holiday season.

Sew A Thon 2007

Several Pre or Mini Sewathon events occur before the big official Aviva all-day Saturday event.  One of these was  Brownie Girl Scout Troop #175 shown below with their bags they made.

The 2007 Sew A Thon was another big success on January 20th.

Thanks to all the volunteers who donated their time, energy and talents making Bags for Kids.  Thanks too for all the food donations and gift cards donated to help us feed this hard-working group.  A special thanks to Pam Kline for organizing this year's raffle and congratulations to all 10 winners!
